TECLUB Brake Fluid DOT 3 is a heavy duty brake and clutch fluid, meeting or exceeding SAE J1703 and United States Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Nr.116 DOT 3 and ISO 4925 specifications.

General information

The brake fluid forms an essential component in the braking system of a car. In service, the brake fluid absorbs moisture which causes a significant reduction in the boiling point of the brake fluid, with a consequent risk of vapour lock. International standards specify minimum values for the wet and dry boiling point. TECLUB Brake Fluid DOT 3 exceeds the relevant international standards and offers a substantial safety margin against water pick up. TECLUB Brake Fluids are completely miscible with one another and are compatible with other approved DOT glycol ether and borate ester brake fluids. They must not be mixed with silicone type or silicate ester type brake fluids.

Dosage

Follow the service interval recommended by the car manufacturer. If no recommendation is given, it is advised to replace brake fluid at least every two years, preferably every year, every 40.000 km or when the water percentage in the brake fluid is above 2%.
